Fair Play and Integrity

The RIP Tour Fair Play & Integrity Promise

Golf is a Game of Honor

--The RIP Tour is built on one simple principle:

Every golfer deserves a fair chance to compete.

We’re creating a community where honesty, sportsmanship, and integrity come before everything else. Winning only means something when it’s earned.

How We Keep Competition Fair

Playing Partners

Whenever possible, players are encouraged to play with another RIP Tour member. If another member isn’t available, players may compete with any golfer who is willing to act as their playing partner and witness.

Live Score Verification

Each round must include a completed scorecard that is submitted through the RIP Tour app.

Photo Verification

Players will upload:

A photo of the first tee.

A photo of the completed scorecard.

A photo from the final hole.

GPS Course Verification

The RIP Tour app records the golf course, date, and time to confirm the round was played where it was submitted.

Handicap Monitoring

Our handicap system automatically tracks performance. Scores that are significantly outside a player’s normal range may be reviewed before becoming official.

Random Integrity Reviews

To protect every member, the RIP Tour may randomly review tournament rounds and request additional verification.

Sportsmanship Policy

Members who intentionally submit false scores or violate the integrity of the Tour may receive:

Score disqualification

Tournament forfeiture

Suspension

Permanent removal from the RIP Tour

Our Promise

The RIP Tour isn’t about finding ways to cheat.

It’s about bringing golfers together from across the country to compete, improve, and enjoy the game the right way.

Every member helps protect the integrity of the Tour.

Because on the RIP Tour…

Respect. Integrity. Performance.

That’s what RIP stands for.

FAIR COMPETITION

How Handicap-Adjusted Scoring Works

RIP Golf Tour uses handicap-adjusted net scoring — the same system trusted by the USGA — so a 20-handicapper from rural Texas can compete fairly against a scratch golfer in California. Your Net Score is calculated by subtracting your course handicap from your gross score, adjusted for each course's Slope and Rating.

This means the playing field is level regardless of your local course's difficulty. A par-72 course with a Slope of 135 and a par-71 course with a Slope of 113 both produce comparable net scores, so every round is a genuine competition.

Your RIP Rating is RIP Golf Tour's proprietary performance index. It evolves with every round you post — rewarding consistency, improvement, and competitive performance in field events. Think of it as your tour credential: the number that tells the field who you are as a competitor.

NET SCORE FORMULA

Gross Score — Course Handicap

COURSE HANDICAP

Handicap Index x (Slope / 113) + (CR - Par)

RIP RATING

Proprietary index built from net score differentials, field size, and tournament frequency

RANKINGS & REWARDS

Tour Points, Rankings & Championship Qualification

Every round you play on the RIP Golf Tour earns Tour Points. Points accumulate across the season to determine your standing in Texas and National Rankings — and ultimately, your path to championship events and prize eligibility.

Tour Points

Tour Points

Earn points in every tournament based on your net score finish within your division. Higher-tier events (Classics, Championships) award multiplied points. Points reset each season — every golfer starts fresh.

• Entry-level events: 50–200 pts
• Classic events: 100–400 pts
• Championship events: 250–1,000 pts

Rankings

Texas & National Rankings

Rankings are calculated from your top N results each season, rewarding consistency over single-round outliers. Compete within your Texas region or zoom out to see your national standing against players across every state.

• State-level rankings by handicap division
• National overall and division rankings
• Updated weekly after score submission closes

Championship Qualification

Championship Qualification

Players who accumulate sufficient Tour Points through the season earn automatic bids into the RIP Texas Championship and RIP National Championship — the tour's marquee events with the largest prize pools and VIP experiences.

• Top 10% in Texas Rankings qualify for Texas Championship
• Top 5% nationally qualify for RIP National Championship
• Wild card entries via special qualifier events
